As an alumnus of Marsiling Primary School, I’m expressing my sincere sentiments here about the school and advocating for its preservation due to its rich history.

Marsiling Primary School, with its roots spanning 65 years, has not only been an educational institution but a crucial part of our community's history.

The spaces surrounding the school hold profound memories for me, particularly the fish pond and garden in the middle of the school - a gathering spot after recess time and where the softball girls' team used to congregate.

I fondly recall the camaraderie and shared experiences in those spaces.

As I reflect on the past, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes to all the softball girls, wherever they may be now. May they always be in the grace of Allah SWT, and I hope their paths have been filled with success and fulfillment.

Speaking of them, where are they now? Aziezah, Nordiana, Sharhana, Khadijah, Amalina and Shazwana..

One of the most cherished places for me is the school field, where countless hours were spent before school starts, engaging in lively games of soccer and catching up with friends - Halimun, Hadi, Ismail, Anwar, Najib, Azlan, Rusydi, Faizal, Andin Heffendi, Tan Shu Lin, Muthukumaran, David, Alan, Hemaraj, Gavin Chew, Darul, Shahid and many more. The field, like the school itself, is a canvas of memories and shared laughter that has left an indelible mark on my heart.

In fact, I received public canning twice for violating our Principal Ng Chor Hee's order which prohibited us from playing football on the field at certain times

I hope in years to come, the ministry could consider preserving Marsiling Primary School, not only as a building but as a testament to the vibrant history and sense of community it has fostered over the years. Preserving such educational institutions is vital in maintaining the cultural fabric of our society and ensuring that future generations can connect with the past.

I hope that, with the ministry’s support, we can work towards preserving the legacy of Marsiling Primary School for generations to come.
